Yes, it's a company, but it really is a portfolio of funds. Hence, Blackrock is a massive allocator of capital. It's not whether they own a lot of a stock, but it's whether they own the min or max of what each fund's charter can own in a single security (and then the min/max in total across all portfolios). Either way, they seem to be far better than holding cash over any more than annual period.
